The design for Arbour Ridge was inspired by Mark's visits to two well known destinations: the beautiful grounds and conservatories of Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania, and Richard Morris Hunt’s glass roofed conservatory on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.
As we prepared to turn the new conservatory over to the owner, we captured a few exterior views, along with the interior space awaiting its new furnishings.
Arbour Ridge was planned as a music room and museum. Furnishings will include a handmade harpsichord and other musical instruments, as well as fine miniature oil paintings, sculpture and art. Crystal chandeliers were installed upon delivery.
Arbour Ridge was handmade using 1/2” birch plywood, pine, basswood, resin capitals, glass and acrylic windows, and paint.
